237 lost and found is a platform that was created in 2022 to help people who lost their documents to recover them by connecting them to people who found them.

Our mission.
Our mission is not only to help people recover their lost documents, but to make the process as fast and easy as picking up your phone to make a calll. We want to take away that frustration, that high level of anxiety that comes when you lose a document.
Our main focus now is helping people recover their lost ID cards and we will gradually include other documents such as; Passports, Driving Licences,
How the platform works
On 237L&F there are just two things; either you found a lost document (which for now our main focus is ID cards) or you are searching for a lost document, that's it.
If you found a lost document, you should go to the Found an ID card section and fill out the form to submit the details required to help the owner of the ID card recover it.
If you lost an ID card, then you should go to the Lost an ID card section.
Since this platform is still very new, we haven't gotten too many lost ID cards with us yet, so chances are that you might not be able to find your document here; nevertheless, just come back from time to time to check, and then spread the word to get more people to know about the platform, because the more people know about it, the higher the chance that someone who finds your ID card might bring it here.

A disclaimer
This platform is developed to help people recover their lost document, not to track down theives who stole their belongings, someone who stole your belonging would not cary your documents to come and give back to you – only a fool will do that – so bare in mind that people who bring documents to this platform are kind hearted people who want to help.
NB: If you come here and find your document and then instead of appreciating, you start causing triouble, you will scare away people who genuinely want to help and mind you, there will be consequences that will follow your actions, because we have a strong legal backing, so be ready to assume them. Nevertheless, if ever you notice something fishy, don't hesitate to contact us and we'll sort it out the right way. Thank you!!
How to register a found document
To register a found document, you have to navigate to the found document page by clicking on one of the buttons indicated below.
If you are not logged in, you will not be able to access this page and you will be redirected to the Log in page, then from there you can log in with your google acount as indicated below.
After clicking on the Google button, a window will open and you can select your google account. The page will look like this;
After logging in, You will then be redirected to the page where you can be able to register the document. You can then fill out the infomation and required, and then choose a picture of the document from your device. This is what it will look like;
After choosing the image, you should then click the upload button and then click on send respectively as indicated below.
After clicking send, a confirmation window will pop, just check if everything is okay and send and that is it. if everything goes well, then you have successfully registered a found document and you will see a success alert, otherwise, please get in touch and let us know.
How to claim a found document.
To claim a document, you can go to the feeds section and srcoll through the available documents or you go to the lost ID card page and type your ID name or number to search with the search engine, more on this below.
Using the feeds page to look for your ducument.
To access the page, you just have to navigate to it by clicking the menu icon on mobile device, or just click feeds in the menu on top if you are on your computer.
When you find your Document, you click on the "This is my ID card button", when you do, a dialogue box will pop up asking for your phone number, enter a number that you be easily reached through, and click "Proceed"
If everything goes well, you will recieve a success notification that looks like this below, otherwise, please get in touch and let us know.
After that, all you have to do is to wait for maximum 48 hours, if you are not contacted, please still get back to us.
Using the search engine.
To use the search engine, you can click on the "lost ID card " button as indicated below.
From there , You can switch between the pannels to use either your name or ID card number.
OR
After typing the number or the name, you click on search, and just wait for the results to be displayed below the search bar. You can then claim your document from there the same way I explained above in the feeds page method.
